Install on an Android phone
Takes under a minute. Do this on the phone itself.
- DownloadOpen this page on your phone and tap Download for Android under the app you want.
- Open the fileWhen the download finishes, tap Open in the message at the bottom, or open it from your Downloads.
- Allow the installIf the phone asks, tap Settings and switch on Allow from this source for your browser, then go back. This is needed once, for apps that do not come from the Play Store.
- InstallTap Install. If Google Play Protect says the app is blocked or unknown, tap More details and then Install anyway. It asks only because the app is new and not yet in the Play Store. The app then appears on your home screen with the HFU Logistics icon.
- Sign inOpen the app and sign in with your email and password. Drivers get their sign-in details from the office.
Prefer not to download a file? Open the portal or the driver app in Chrome, tap the menu ⋮ at the top right and choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
Install on an iPhone
On iPhone the app is added from Safari and works from your Home Screen like any other app.
- Open in SafariOpen portal.hfulogistics.com (customers) or driver.hfulogistics.com (drivers) in Safari.
- Tap ShareTap the Share button, the square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen.
- Add to Home ScreenScroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap AddKeep the name and tap Add at the top right. The HFU icon is now on your Home Screen.
- Open and sign inOpen it from the Home Screen, not from Safari, and sign in. It opens full screen, without the browser bars.
Drivers: why does the app ask for my location?
While the driver app is open, your location is shared with our office and with the customer whose goods you are carrying, so they can see the delivery coming. Tap Allow when asked, and if the phone asks again, choose While using the app. Nothing is shared when the app is closed.
Is the Android download safe?
Yes. The apps are made and signed by HFU Logistics and only open our own websites, portal.hfulogistics.com and driver.hfulogistics.com. Your phone shows a warning only because the file does not come from the Play Store.
How do I update the app?
You do not need to. The apps always open the latest version of the portal and the driver app.
I forgot my password.
Customers: tap Forgot your password? on the sign-in screen. Drivers: call the office on 0161 509 6152 for a new one.
